The “Taymyr. Genius of location” exhibition

This is the “red list” of peoples. There’s 5 of them here: Dolgan, Evenk, Nents, Ents and Nganasan. They are the descendants of the most ancient tundra population of Europe – the Neolithic deer hunters. There’s only a few hundred of them left. They all live on the Taymyr peninsula. The “Taymyr. Genius of location” exhibition is dedicated to their unique way of life and culture. The exposition includes more than 400 exhibits: ritual masks, Dolgan calendars, as well as the materials of the “forgotten” ethnographic expedition of 1965, displayed for the first time ever.
