My India. Dhauli Kalinga festival

There are many dance styles in Indian culture that highlight the diversity of the country's cultural traditions. Each of them tells about the customs of a particular region or settlement. One of the brightest dance festivals is Dhauli Kalinga, which presents the legacy of the ancient state of Kalinga in Odisha.

The festival was first held in 2003 by the Department of Tourism Development in cooperation with the Odisha School of Arts and Dance. The main task of the event was to combine two events: Dhauli Mahotsav and Kalinga Mahotsav into one great holiday.
