Located near Moirang in Bishnupur district of Manipur, Lok Tak is regarded as the largest freshwater lake in the Northeastern region of India.

Spread over an area of 286 sq km, the lake has earned the laurel of being 'The Wetland of International Importance' under the Ramsar Convention.
