Poet who brings nations together: Brazilian philologist translates Russian classics into Portuguese
Astier Basilio moved to Russia nine years ago and has since translated the works of some 120 Russian authors. The Brazilian holds a particularly special place in his heart for Aleksander Pushkin. The philologist compares working on his poems to a friendly tea party – it is so much like a heart-to-heart conversation.
