Russian scientists have developed unique eye cornea implant
According to researchers at I. M. Sechenov University, on average, 1 in 2000 people in the world suffer from pathologies of the visual organs requiring corneal transplantation. In addition, people often traumatise their eyes and also need surgery. However, there is a shortage of donor material.
