Analysts forecast increase in India's annual electronics production to US$250 billion

The country's authorities plan to double the number of jobs in this sphere

India's annual electronics output is expected to reach about US$250 billion in the next five years, according to analysts. This was reported by IANS, a partner of TV BRICS. Currently, India's electronics exports range from US$125 billion to US$130 billion.

From 2017 to 2023, output in this sector has doubled, from US$49 billion to US$101 billion.

The country's government plans to tackle unemployment by creating jobs. According to media reports, the Indian authorities intend to double the number of vacancies in the next five years.

According to analysts, the introduction of technological innovations such as 5G networks and IoT (Internet of Things) is fuelling demand for electronics.
