Countries contribute to global efforts to combat climate change
The 46th meeting of the Least Developed Countries Export Group (LEG), which is taking place in Addis Ababa from August 19–22, recognised the importance of Ethiopia's green heritage in the global fight against climate change. This is reported by Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), a partner of TV BRICS.
The meeting is discussing progress on the 2024–2025 work programme in line with the goals of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Representatives from least developed countries are participating in the discussions, as well as organisations such as the secretariat of the Adaptation Fund Board, the Green Climate Fund Secretariat, the Global Environment Facility, regional centres, and networks.
Particular emphasis is placed on enhancing support for least-developed countries and integrating a gender perspective into LEG initiatives.
