Saudi Arabian university develops device that detects premature labour

An internet-connected device with artificial intelligence capabilities has been created by the University of Jeddah. The Saudi Press Agency stated that the gadget determines the proportion of amniotic fluid in the foetal sac and identifies possible issues early on.

This makes it possible to implement prompt medical therapies that support placental health and foetal lung development.

The solution makes use of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge ultrasound sensor technology to guarantee high accuracy, stop false alarms, and allow remote monitoring.

It also allows healthcare professionals to monitor the patient's condition using mobile phone apps, which reduces the need for frequent hospital visits.
