UAE government launches AI-powered HR assistant to revolutionise public sector workforce management

This automation is projected to save an estimated 170,000 working hours annually

The United Arab Emirates has unveiled an AI-powered HR assistant designed to transform workforce management within the federal government. The initiative aims to enhance employee services, streamline HR processes, and foster a more efficient and responsive work environment. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The new system, underpinned by advanced AI agent technology, is poised to support over 50,000 employees across the UAE government. In its initial phase, the AI assistant offers 108 services, autonomously handling 80 per cent of employee HR procedures and providing immediate responses to 80 per cent of legislative enquiries.

This automation is projected to save an estimated 170,000 working hours annually, significantly reducing the burden on technical and legal HR support teams.

The HR assistant's phased implementation incorporates continuous learning, allowing it to acquire knowledge, hone its skills, and refine its responses based on daily interactions.
