BRICS youth to have opportunity to study global governance and diplomacy in China

Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Programme) provides participants with about one month of lectures consisting of three modules

From 30 June to 25 July 2025, Shanghai will host the Summer School (BRICS Programme 2025), an international educational initiative aimed at strengthening academic and cultural ties between the group's countries.

The programme is organised by the Center for BRICS Studies of the Fudan Development Institute (FDDI), a think tank at Fudan University.

During the month-long programme, students and young researchers will study the contemporary challenges of global governance, the peculiarities of China's political system and foreign policy, as well as get acquainted with the culture and rhythm of life in the metropolis.

The programme includes three modules:

  • "Global Governance and Cooperation among BRICS";

  • "China’s Politics and Diplomacy";

  • "Happy in Shanghai".

The school includes lectures, project work, thematic workshops, trips, and multicultural events.

Students, postgraduates and researchers from BRICS countries are welcome to participate. Applications will be accepted until 30 April 2025.
