The media network became a practical implementation of the initiative supported by the leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa on the need to «establish cooperation in the media sphere, including exploring the possibility of creating a joint television channel to disseminate objective information about BRICS activities».

The data produced serve as a basis for information exchange between leading media outlets of the countries, shaping a unified analytical landscape of the information agenda.
By analysing global socio-economic processes and transnational flows, the development of innovation, cultural exchange dynamics and future forecasting, TV BRICS analytics becomes the foundation for engagement with the expert community and for predictive analysis. This area includes the study of international relations and the global economy, the assessment of quality of life and education development rates, as well as the application of quantitative data analysis methods (including artificial intelligence) for forecasting purposes. The results serve as a basis for strategic management decisions and programmes at international, federal and regional levels, aimed at strengthening cooperation among BRICS+ countries across all sectors of the economy, as well as in science, culture, sport and global projects in the field of sustainable development and the ESG agenda.

TV BRICS develops partnerships in the field of international production and distribution with professional television companies, independent directors and film producers, and also promotes the exchange of experience in professional education in cinematography, cooperating with leading film schools in the BRICS+ countries. The editorial team of the media network provides the full cycle of documentary film production, originally intended for an international audience. The TV BRICS network of partner film festivals makes it possible to present the best documentary works to the professional community and to contribute to promoting the BRICS+ agenda through the language of cinematic art.
