Best media projects about BRICS countries to be broadcast on Orenburg Regional Television

Residents of the Orenburg region will be able to watch unique television programmes on the BRICS+ countries and discover the group’s best media projects. Orenburg Regional Television (ORT) has joined the information exchange via the TV BRICS International Media Network. An agreement on cooperation was signed by Andrey Telegin, Chief Executive of TVC "Planet" JSC (which includes ORT), and Janna Tolstikova, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of the TV BRICS International Media Network. The partners will work together to strengthen the international standing of BRICS, establish professional contacts and exchange expertise in the field of mass communications.
The development of the region’s ties with foreign media is taking place within the framework of comprehensive cooperation agreements reached between the Orenburg Region and TV BRICS in January 2026.
"It is important for us to show our viewers the full diversity of the modern world, which is why we are joining the international exchange of information via TV BRICS and will be introducing the people of the Orenburg Region to life in the BRICS member states and partner countries. This cooperation will allow us to immerse ourselves in the cultures of other countries and peoples and to learn about the people, landmarks, interesting events and significant social projects. The TV BRICS format helps audiences in different regions of the world to understand one another better and opens up new topics of mutual interest," noted Andrey Telegin, Chief Executive of TVC "Planet" JSC.
Orenburg Regional Television is the only publicly accessible television channel in the Orenburg Region. It began broadcasting in 2012. ORT broadcasts on the federal channel of Russia’s first multiplex and is available round the clock via cable networks, digital platforms and online. The editorial team’s day-to-day work focuses on producing up-to-date news and analytical content, special reports and original programmes reflecting the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural agenda of the Orenburg region.
The exchange of information will begin with the launch on ORT of the international programme "BRICSinform" by TV BRICS. The first episode of the programme will be broadcast on 31 August 2026.
Irina Sidorova, Head of the Eurasian Countries Cooperation Division at TV BRICS, reported that in Russia, TV BRICS programming blocks are broadcast on television channels in the Republic of Mordovia (Mordovia 24 and 10 Kanal), the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Ugra (OTRK Ugra), the Republic of Tatarstan (UNIVER TV), the Chelyabinsk Region (OTV) and the Nizhny Novgorod Region (Volga 24). According to her, cooperation between regional media brings a unique flavour, national character and distinctiveness to the BRICS agenda, which enhances the objectivity of the overall picture and stimulates interest in the intergovernmental organisation.
Today, TV BRICS’s regular partners include regional media outlets from Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, India, China, Colombia, Nigeria, Russia, Chile, and South Africa.
