ArtMasters Open International Competition announces winners in "Film" and "Music"

Teams from 25 countries reached the final

The results of the first ArtMasters Open international competition at the 2026 International Festival of Youth in Ekaterinburg have been announced. The winners in the "Film" and "Music" categories were selected by a jury following the pitching of creative projects by the finalist teams.

Over 3,500 people from 140 countries submitted applications to take part. Ten teams, comprising participants from 25 countries, made it through to the final. Over the course of three days, they worked on their projects in person in Ekaterinburg. The TV BRICS International Media Network acted as the championship’s international media partner.

In the "Film" category, first place went to the team that created the social awareness video "The Best Day of the Year", which explores human interaction and caring for one another in the digital age. The team comprised participants from Russia, Algeria, Egypt, Nepal, Indonesia, and Argentina.

In the "Music" category, the winning team created a music video for a Russian theatre and film actress. They opted for a disco style, with the shoot utilising 3D backdrops and tracking cameras. The team comprised contestants from Russia, Iraq, Nigeria, Morocco, Pakistan and Brazil.

"The participants came from different countries, represented different cultures and professional approaches, and many of them hardly knew one another before the competition began. This makes the result they managed to achieve together all the more valuable," emphasised Borislav Volodin, director of ArtMasters.

He also took part in the event’s business programme and moderated the session "Russia’s Creative Potential and International Cooperation", dedicated to the development of international ties in the creative industries, new technologies and the training of specialists for the sector.

The ArtMasters awards ceremony will take place at the Bolshoi Theatre on 29 September 2026.
