TV BRICS to provide comprehensive information and analytical coverage of BRICS Summit in New Delhi

The TV BRICS International Media Network will focus global public attention on the 18th BRICS Summit, which will take place on 12–13 September 2026 in New Delhi (Republic of India). The focus will be on reviewing the achievements of the country holding the BRICS Chairship over the year and the development of the group as a whole over its 20-year history. TV BRICS media resources will switch to a special operating mode. Information and analytical materials will be available in different countries around the world through national and regional media outlets that are TV BRICS partners.

Leading experts in international relations will contribute to the assessment of the events of the New Delhi Summit. The special BRICS&G20 project of TV BRICS will feature representatives from Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, Ethiopia and South Africa. They will include Ashwani Muthoo, Director General of the Independent Evaluation Office of the New Development Bank (NDB); Sameep Shastri, Chairman of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (both India); Vladimir Filippov, President of Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Russian Federation); Luan Scliar, Executive Director of the BRICS+ Institute for Cultural Exchange and Economic Development (Brazil); and Zhumabek Sarabekov, Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation (Kazakhstan).

“I hope the summit will appreciate the very critical role the New Development Bank is fulfilling in the BRICS countries, but also beyond in other emerging economies in promoting sustainable and inclusive development. Since its establishment in 2015, the New Development Bank has funded more than 100 projects in the BRICS countries and its members overall, for a total volume of around US$45 billion, projects that are focusing on transport infrastructure, water management, renewable energy and other critical fields for the BRICS countries,” said Ashwani Muthoo, Director General of the Independent Evaluation Office of the New Development Bank. All materials produced as part of the BRICS & G20 project will be available on the international media network's portal and television channels.

During the Summit, TV BRICS television channels will operate in a live marathon format. Viewers will learn about the development and prospects of BRICS through special editions of the “BRICSinform” news programme and the analytical formats “BRICSdialogue” and “BRICSterview”. The national and cultural aspect will be highlighted by “The Language of Dance” programme about the dance traditions of the country holding the BRICS Chairship, as well as television projects prepared by the media network's partners – the documentary “Therukoothu” (Innovative Film Academy) and the “My India” programme (ANI). For the first time, the TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra's concert, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of BRICS, will be broadcast on television. The international ensemble will perform musical works from different countries and present a new symphonic poem, “BRICS – A Commonwealth of Cultures”.

A TV BRICS media crew will be working at the BRICS Summit venue. At the same time, representatives of TV BRICS management will take part in the BRICS Business Forum and the plenary session of the BRICS Business Council, which will be held in New Delhi ahead of the meeting of the heads of state. The TV BRICS working visit will also include the signing of a number of cooperation agreements with media organisations from different countries.
