SCO leaders sign Bishkek Declaration
The declaration became the main document adopted at the summit in Bishkek

The heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states signed the Bishkek Declaration at the summit. The leaders agreed to continue efforts to further consolidate the SCO in fulfilling the objectives set out in the organisation's Development Strategy until 2035. The text of the declaration has been published on the Kremlin website.
Participants in the meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States called for reforming and improving the system of global governance and regulation, including the development of relevant norms and rules to ensure that all states participate in decision-making on an equal footing and benefit from its outcomes.
The declaration also notes that the heads of state of the organisation welcome cooperation with interested countries, international organisations and multilateral associations.
"Interaction in the SCO Plus format contributes to the formation of a broad, inclusive global partnership," the document states.
The declaration addresses current issues on the global agenda, including the need to ensure the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies, sustainable development and reform of the global economic governance system.
In addition to the Bishkek Declaration on the 25th Anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, participants in the SCO Summit signed 27 other documents. The summit in Bishkek marks the 25th anniversary of the SCO.
