Brazil has had record soy harvest

The country has grown 135.9 million tons of soy beans

According to the results of the 2020/21 marketing year in Brazil, a record crop was harvested - 135.9 million tons of soy beans. In general, the territory of country's sown areas for grain has had a significant increase - by 22.70% compared to the 19/20 harvest - from 963 thousand hectares to 1.181 million hectares. As reported by analysts at Brazilian state agricultural agency Conab. They have assessed the harvest results in the South American country.

It is noted that Paragominas stands out among the municipalities in which soy beans were harvested from the largest area in the state - the harvest was obtained from an area of 179.6 thousand hectares. Its volume was 7.54% higher than last year. Santa Maria das Barreiras increased the soy bean acreage by 59.7%, from 36 thousand hectares to 57.5 thousand hectares, having collected 170 thousand tons of crops.

Conab has also made a forecast for the current marketing year regarding the supply of export products. Brazilian soy bean exports are expected to reach 83.6 million tons, and final stocks of this crop will be recorded at around 7.5 million tons.

We will remind, earlier analysts of Anec, the National Association of Grain Exporters of Brazil, have predicted that local traders will sell 4.4 million tons of soy beans to foreign markets in September.
