The covid-19 pandemic outbreak constitutes an enormous collective challenge for the global economy affecting people’s livelihoods all over the world.
Uncertainty remains high and the strength of the recovery varies markedly between countries and between business sectors. In light of this, prospects for future economic growth strongly depend on the calculating governmental actions and entrepreneurs’ ability to adapt to changing conditions and the new reality.

At the same time as markets move from response to recovery, the global pandemic can become a catalyst driving forward scientific and technological advances and ushering in further digitalization and automation processes. COVID-19 is pushing companies to work together in new ways, driving enterprises to consider and test many new partnerships and possibilities and creating ecosystem-wide innovation. the partnerships, products, and services that enterprises are building today have the potential to define business and technology for years to come.

With the main goal of the russian presidency in BRICS to contribute to improving people’s quality of life, and the motto of the presidency – “BRICS partnership for global stability, common security and innovative growth”, it is especially relevant and timely for BRICS countries to combine efforts in search and implementation of smart innovative solutions that can address today’s economic and societal challenges, help to secure businesses and move forward.
