The «Nur Zholy - Khorgos» checkpoint was opened on the border of Kazakhstan and China

The car checkpoint «Nur Zholy» is part of the transboundary Eurasian transport route in the land traffic Europe — China. It refers to the long-term initiative to develop the transit potential of the transport systems of the member states of the EDB (the Eurasian Development Bank), and also, to the only transboundary project for the development of transport infrastructure, the road corridor Europe — West China, agreed by the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan.
The loan contract for the project of creation and operation of the «Nur Zholy» automobile crossing point and the operation of the transport and logistics center on the Western Europe — Western China highway section on the principles of public-private partnership were signed by the Eurasian Development Bank and Eurotransit Terminal LLP. The amount of funding for the program from the EDB will be 32 billion tenge. The credit line is provided until April 2020.
