TV BRICS International Media Network and ESG-Media agree to cooperate in the field of SDGs
National Reputation Management Agency ESG Media and TV BRICS International Media Network have agreed to cooperate in promoting sustainable development in Russia and other BRICS countries. The partners plan to work together to create and promote information events related to the UN SDG Agenda.
“Achieving sustainable development, especially now, in such an unpredictable time, is impossible without the implementation of all the principles laid down in this agenda, and this cannot be achieved until they become the way of thinking of every person. Our partnership's mission is to create a single socio-cultural code between society and business, different generations, as well as different countries, where people, although they speak different languages, think the same values that comply with the principles of sustainable development.” said Marina Bogomyagkova, ESG Media general producer.
TV BRICS International Media Network is a permanent member of the UN Global Compact's SDG Media Compact. In 2021, the TV BRICS network supported the campaign of the UN Department of Global Communications and FAO in support of Sustainable Development Goal 2: “Zero hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture”. TV BRICS became a participant in the educational media campaign of the China Global Television Network, initiated under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15). As part of its activities, the TV BRICS network actively cooperates with the United Nations Information Centre in Moscow, which has become a key partner in the BRICS AGAINST COVID-19 INFOHUB project, initiated by the combined TV BRICS network in 2020 to combat the "pandemic of misinformation".
“TV BRICS international network actively covers the Sustainable Development Goals agenda in the media space. Thanks to the work of the TV BRICS network partners in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, it is possible to facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practices on the issue between the BRICS countries. Today the BRICS countries are in many ways innovators in achieving the SDGs. Furthermore, during the 2021 summit of the heads of the "Five", the BRICS commitment to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) in its three dimensions - economic, social and environmental - was clearly expressed. Of course, a special role in this agenda is assigned to the media as the main tool for promoting the global objectives of sustainable development,” said Zhanna Tolstikova, CEO of the TV BRICS International Media Network.
ESG MEDIA, the National Reputation Management Agency, regularly creates and implements analytical projects in the context of sustainable development, drawing on both its own research and its partners' analytics. Each study is accompanied by an event to highlight and discuss its findings within the professional community and involves representatives from business, public sector, civil society organisations, business associations and financial institutions. The Agency's mission is to communicate the values and priorities behind Russia's 2030 National Sustainable Development Goals to business and society.
