TV BRICS to present results of cooperation with Brazilian universities at MSU international conference
On Friday, 25 November, the Lomonosov, Moscow State University will host the VII International Scientific-Practical Conference "Modern Methods and Technologies in the Teaching of Russian Language". Teachers of Russian as a foreign language from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Italy, Austria and South Korea will take part in the conference.
The conference will be divided into three sections: 'Modern Problems of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language', 'Cross-Cultural Approach in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language', and 'Modern Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language'.
Diana Davidian, editor-in-chief of the TV BRICS international network's website and RFL teacher, will give a presentation at the conference. She will present the results of TV BRICS' collaboration with Brazilian universities and the creation of an authorial course in Russian phonetics for Portuguese speakers.
The TV BRICS international network regularly organises events dedicated to Russian culture and the Russian language at leading universities in Brazil and other BRICS countries.
For example, an international videoconference took place linking the two cities of São Paulo and Omsk. Dialogue topic: "The Three Cities in the Creative Destiny of F.M. Dostoevsky". TV BRICS, together with the "Modern Russian" project, held an interactive meeting with students and teachers at the University of São Paulo. Participants in the teleconference entitled "Three Cities in the Creative Destiny of F.M. Dostoevsky" not only followed the route of Raskolnikov, but also tried to find key words in the text of the "Crime and Punishment" novel.
During the Russia-Brazil teleconference, lecturers, postgraduates and students of the Department of Russian Studies at the University of São Paulo were presented with audio and video materials for distance learning Russian, created as part of the Modern Russian project.
In July this year, the Federal University of Fluminense hosted a meeting with the editorial team of TV BRICS. The Russian as a Foreign Language course at the Fluminense University of Rio de Janeiro was able to ask questions about the work of the TV BRICS international network in Brazil.
The TV BRICS International network is a media platform through which Brazilians can get in touch with Russian culture.
