Brazilian fighters Kleber Souza and Bruno Rovers will take part in a tournament in Omsk

Shlemenko Fighting Championship - a key sporting event timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the Omsk region

Next Friday, September 30th, Omsk will host the fifth tournament of the Shlemenko Fighting Championship promotion. It will be the central sporting event in the bicentenary celebrations of the region. This is reported by the news agency " Omsk Zdes" (Omsk Here), a partner of the TV BRICS network.

It is noted that the strongest fighters, including foreign athletes - from Brazil, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Egypt - are registered for the tournament. For example, mixed martial arts legend Aleksandr Shlemenko will enter the octagon for the first time on his home turf. He will fight Brazilian middleweight Kleber Sousa in his main event.

Shlemenko has won the Bellator Grand Prix twice and holds the Bellator middleweight title, which he has confirmed three times. His opponent has a streak of three wins, most recently over Cassio de Oliveira, a fighter who won the Brazilian SFT Combat league title.

Aleksandr Osetrov and another Brazilian, Bruno Rovers, will meet in the co-main event. The Russian is an experienced fighter, an athlete who has been training under Aleksandr Shlemenko for over six years, with 12 winning fights in his career. His Brazilian rival has the nickname Crazy Monkey - for his overly emotional winning reactions. On account of the athlete 17 victories, and 16 of them he won ahead of schedule.
