South African International Tourism Film Festival opens registration

The International Tourism Film Festival (ITFFA) in South Africa has opened a registration. The event will take place in Cape Town. Entries will be open until 31 January. TV BRICS is the media partner of the festival.

ITFFA will accept all videos related to the travel and tourism industry: travel branding and advertising videos, independent traveller videos, 60-minute documentaries (cinema, online or TV) and programmes/reports.

The competition is open to travel agents, destination marketing organisations and independent travel filmmakers.

TV BRICS has been cooperating with ITFFA since 2020. During this time, the media network organised screenings of films about tourism in Russia within the festival. Viewers were presented with videos about the tourism potential of the Altai Territory, the Republic of Buriatia, the regions of Sakhalin, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Tver, Primorsky, Smolensk, and Volgograd.

In addition, as part of its media support for the festival, TV BRICS held special screenings of the best ITFFA films on its television channel in 2020. In the same year, a special prize was given to the DurbanTV team for their coverage of South Africa's cultural and historical heritage. For the first time, a complete series of films in Russian about tourism in Durban, was shown on TV BRICS.
