Bolivia to develop social journalism with TV BRICS
The media network and Bolivian television channel Palenque TV have signed a cooperation agreement
The Plurinational State of Bolivia and TV BRICS will develop social journalism aimed at improving the quality of life of people in the BRICS+ countries. The media network’s partner for joint work in this area has become the television channel Palenque TV. The cooperation agreement was signed by Director-General of the Bolivian media outlet Veronica Palenque and CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova.
“The alliance between Palenque TV and TV BRICS is an important step towards strengthening more comprehensive and multifaceted communication that at the same time does not lose its essence and commitment to the Bolivian reality. At a time when information spreads around the world at enormous speed, the unification of efforts by media outlets that share the principles of responsibility, truthfulness and service to society makes it possible to create journalism that is more humane and closer to people. This agreement symbolises not only institutional cooperation between two communication platforms, but also a firm commitment to journalism that transcends borders while deeply respecting the cultural and social identity of our peoples. Cooperation between Palenque TV and TV BRICS opens up new opportunities for information exchange, joint content production and the distribution of materials reflecting the challenges, achievements and development of Bolivia and the world as a whole. Palenque TV once again reaffirms its commitment to the philosophy and ideology of the renowned journalist and philanthropist Carlos Palenque Aviles, who transformed communication into an instrument of social service, closeness to the people and defence of the most disadvantaged sections of society. This legacy remains relevant, promoting a model of journalism committed to truth, inclusiveness and the voices of those who are often unheard,” noted Director-General of Palenque TV Veronica Palenque.
Palenque TV is a private television channel in Bolivia founded in 2000 with the aim of continuing the traditions of social journalism, information, education and entertainment established by politician and journalist Carlos Palenque. Its programming includes broadcasts on politics, economics, entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, culture and analysis, as well as entertainment programmes. The television channel broadcasts throughout the country. Under the leadership of Veronica Palenque, the media outlet has received numerous national awards, including an award from Bolivia’s Ministry of Culture for combating discrimination.
CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova stressed that the unified BRICS+ media space is built on the principles of humanity, mutual respect, creativity and constructiveness. People, the quality of life in different countries, professional fulfilment and social issues have always been at the centre of TV BRICS’ attention.
"We are pleased to welcome the respected Bolivian television channel Palenque TV among the partners of TV BRICS. Our cooperation will make it possible to enrich the BRICS+ agenda with the social issues of the Latin American region, which is distinguished by national diversity, a unique historical context and rich cultural colour"![]()
