Brazil presents the Ministry of Health's action plan to achieve goals of the 2030 Agenda

Health Minister emphasised the need for broad-based action involving all spheres of government

During the presentation of the 8th Light of Civil Society report on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, Brazil's Minister of Health, Nisia Trindade, emphasised the government's commitment to sustainable development and the specific actions of the Ministry of Health to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is reported by Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

The Minister emphasised the need for broad-based action involving all spheres of government and civil society to achieve a healthier and more sustainable country.

In response to the challenges, the Ministry of Health has launched several initiatives. The Healthy Brazil Programme, a world-leading programme, aims to eliminate 11 diseases and 5 infections that affect vulnerable populations.

At the end of her participation in the event, the Minister emphasised that the Federal Government, under the leadership of Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, is ready to collaborate with civil society to achieve the goals and improve the quality of life of Brazilians.
