CIS, BRICS and SCO countries to host the "Abilympics" championships in the new year
In 2023, "Abilympics", a Russian movement to support people with disabilities, will organise the first open championship for professional skills with the participation of representatives from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Institute for the Institute for Professional Education Development (IPED). In 2022, "Abilympics" championships were held in 85 regions of Russia.
The new year will see the launch of the "Abilympics-Media" educational platform, where podcasts, videos and other media projects will be posted to provide information relevant to participants and their parents. The Abilympics Almanac will also publish its first issue in the new year on paper and in an online version.
20% - this is the growth rate of participants in the movement in 2022, representatives of the press service stressed. More than 18,000 people joined the "Abilympics".
236 championship participants got jobs at Moscow companies - in trade, technology, services and many others.
