Experts from over 100 countries to take part in Russian World Assembly in Moscow
From 20 to 22 October, Moscow will host the 17th Assembly of the Russian World – the largest international forum bringing together representatives from more than 100 countries. The organiser is the Russkiy Mir Foundation, with TV BRICS serving as the international media partner.
This year’s main theme is “Russian world fundamental contribution to the international development: history, the present and the future.” Participants will discuss the preservation of spiritual and cultural values, the promotion of the Russian language, and the strengthening of humanitarian ties amid global transformation.
The event will bring together academics and linguists from leading universities, translators, diplomats, cultural figures, and media representatives.
The plenary session will be chaired by Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of MGIMO University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Speakers will include Huynh Song Van, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (Vietnam); Victoria Ruzvidzo, Editor of "The Herald" (Zimbabwe), a TV BRICS partner; and Kamara Oumar, Director of the National Conservatory of Mali, along with other international experts.
Special attention will be given to panel discussions. On the second day of the forum, thematic sessions will be held on the current state of the Russian language, interstate cultural cooperation, and the role of public diplomacy. TV BRICS will act as co-organiser of the session “New Media dimension: strengthening dialogue – confidence-building.” The discussion will be moderated by Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, and Mahasha Piet Rampedi, Editor-in-Chief of African Times (South Africa).
The closing plenary session will summarise the outcomes of the forum and define key directions for humanitarian cooperation. Participants will also attend workshops, meetings with the foundation’s leadership, and cultural events in Moscow’s museums and theatres.

Media representatives from Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, Zimbabwe, India, Indonesia, Iran, Cuba, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Oman, Thailand, Chile, Ethiopia, and South Africa will gather in Moscow.
