India announced its readiness to expand ties within BRICS
India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in New Delhi on a visit. The parties agreed to maintain the positive momentum in bilateral relations between the countries, according to ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
The Head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also recalled that this year Beijing and New Delhi are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. According to Wang Yi, China and India should deepen cooperation and remove barriers, ensuring stability in Asia and around the world.
In turn, Jaishankar stressed that Beijing and New Delhi should jointly ensure the stability of the global economy. He confirmed India's readiness to use the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
The parties recalled that in October 2024, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a successful meeting at the BRICS summit in Kazan.
