India and China to join UAE's Ajman Folklore Festival
From 19 to 21 April, Ajman will host the much-anticipated folklore festival under the theme “Ajman...embracing history and identity”. The event aims to promote cultural awareness and heritage preservation in the emirate of Ajman.
The festival focuses on Ajman's ancient heritage, serving as an important platform to showcase its unique cultural and artistic heritage. Such events play a crucial role in preserving Emirati heritage and passing it on to future generations. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
Muna Al Suwaidi, programs and projects advisor at the Ministry of Culture, said that the Ministry's goal is to preserve cultural heritage, the Arabic language and national identity. She emphasised the festival's role in promoting cultural exchange and understanding, inviting everyone to join in celebrating these diverse cultural festivals.
On the third day of the Ajman Folklore Festival, there will be a captivating folk dance showcase featuring multiple international groups, including Circassian, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Turkish, and others.
The festival offers a diverse programme including concerts, folklore performances, cultural shows, workshops, art exhibition, antique collectibles exhibition, culinary experiences, fashion shows, daily competitions and trade stalls.
