Presidents of Brazil and UAE discuss trade and investment cooperation
Meeting took place during the working visit of the Brazilian leader to the UAE
President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva held a working meeting with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, as reported by the website of the Government of Brazil.
The leaders considered deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, in particular cooperation in the fields of trade and investment.
The heads of the two countries once again expressed interest in the prompt conclusion of negotiations on the MERCOSUR-UAE Agreement to establish a comprehensive economic partnership.
Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that the strategic relations between the UAE and Brazil, existing for more than 50 years, continue to strengthen. He emphasised the broad range of cooperation that both countries seek to advance in accordance with shared priorities and long-term goals.
The President of Brazil, in turn, highlighted the importance of UAE participation in the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), launched during the 2025 UN Climate Change Conference, and also invited the President of the UAE to visit Brazil in 2026.
