Russian-Chinese Youth Winter Games Start in Ufa

The participants of the Russian-Chinese Youth Games are arriving to Ufa. The competitionis held for the second time, and Russia hosts it for the first time. The capital of Bashkiria is waiting for 400 athletes specializing in hockey, short track, and snowboarding. Competition will take place in a multipurpose sports complex "Ufa Arena", in the Sports Palace, in the Biathlon Complex, and on the ski slope of the Ufa sports school, Sibnovosti.ru with reference to Bash.News reports.
The opening ceremony of the Russian-Chinese Youth Games was held in "Ufa Arena" on Saturday, December 15. All sports events will be free and open to the public, however, organizers have prepared 42 thousand tickets to give to thefans as souvenirs.
A special attention is given to safetyon all sport objects for the period of the competition: 'We will strengthen security system, which will work to 100% during the competition. We have special elements of passive safety, which decrease the intensity of injury when a sportsman falls,' the director of Ufa Mountain Ski Sports School of Olympic Reserve Valery Matveevsaid.
