The number of tourists arriving in Iran increases

With the rise in the arrival of foreign tourists, Iran’s rank has significantly improved in the world in this respect

International tourism data showed that the number of tourists visiting Iran last year totalled around 5.9 million, compared to only 4.1 million in 2022.

The surge in visitation saw Iran climb six positions to 34th place in UNWTO's ranking of popular international destinations. This is reported by IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS.

The number of tourists in Iran quadrupled in 2022 compared to 2021, when the tourism industry suffered due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier it was reported that Iran cancelled visas for more than 30 countries

These countries include India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Cuba and others.
