Kazakhstan tops Asian Artistic Swimming Championships with team trophy and 48 medals

Kazakhstan finished at the top of the artistic swimming team standings after delivering a dominant performance at the 12th Asian Age Group Aquatics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, where its athletes collected 48 medals across multiple disciplines.

The continental competition brought together Asia's leading young aquatic athletes, as reported by Kazinform, a TV BRICS partner. Kazakhstan was represented by 111 competitors, who produced one of the nation's strongest performances at the championships.

Artistic swimming proved to be the country's most successful discipline, contributing 25 medals, including 14 gold, seven silver and four bronze. The impressive medal haul secured Kazakhstan the overall team trophy in artistic swimming, highlighting the country's growing strength in the sport.

Kazakhstan also excelled in competitive swimming, earning 16 medals comprising six gold, seven silver and three bronze, while the diving team added six medals, including one gold, three silver and two bronze.

Further success came in water polo, where Kazakhstan's men's under-19 team finished as Asian runners-up, adding another strong result to the country's overall campaign.

The outstanding performances across artistic swimming, swimming, diving and water polo underline Kazakhstan's continued progress in aquatic sports and reinforce its position among Asia's leading emerging sporting nations.
