Vladimir Putin holds a telephone conversation with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

The leaders discussed the development of bilateral relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his UAE counterpart Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed issues of further development of Russian-Emirati relations during a telephone conversation. This is reported by the official website of the Russian President.

The leaders of the Russian Federation and the UAE agreed to continue Russian-Emirati contacts at various levels.

Recall that on 6 December in Abu Dhabi there was a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Russian leader noted that he expects the Arab head of state to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan in autumn 2024, the year of Russia's presidency in the organisation.

At the bloc's XV summit in South Africa, five states, namely Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Ethiopia accepted an invitation to join BRICS.
