Indian programmer grows the world's most expensive spice
Sailesh Modak, a software engineer by profession and resident of Pune, India, grows one of the world's most expensive spices, saffron. It took him just over a month to grow a crop in just 160 square feet (that's almost 15 square metres). The plant is fastidious - it does not tolerate cloudy weather, draughts and excessive moisture.
