Mikatekiso Kubayi, Senior Researcher at University of Johannesburg: from its inception, BRICS has been driven by idea of shaping new global financial architecture

TV BRICS is an officially accredited media outlet for the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

In an interview with Soweto TV, a TV BRICS partner, Mikatekiso Kubayi, Senior Researcher at the University of Johannesburg, noted that at the time the group was founded, no one expected that a group could emerge in the world capable of influencing global development in the same way as the countries of the Group of Seven. The expert cited the BRICS nations’ successful promotion of the idea of multipolarity as the group’s main achievement to date.
