China launches graduate job placement campaign
The government platform will host events where students can receive targeted job recommendations
China's Ministry of Education has announced the launch of a 100-day campaign to promote the employment of university graduates. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The campaign, which will run until August 2024, includes activities at various universities across the country, such as large-scale recruitment at university campuses, dissemination of information on employment promotion measures and visits to enterprises.
According to the Chinese government, the number of university graduates across the country will reach 11.79 million in 2024.
The department urged authorities and university rectors to work with various companies to promote job growth. The government's employment services platform will organise events where students can get targeted job recommendations.
The ministry also proposed to provide job search assistance to graduates with disabilities and students from families with financial difficulties. The ministry indicated that it is necessary to track each such student.
