India and African countries intend to move towards the practical implementation of joint projects in the areas of digital technologies, healthcare, investment and climate resilience. This was agreed upon by participants of the international conference "Partners for Progress: Africa and India in the Emerging Global Order", held in Addis Ababa. The event was reported by ANI, a TV BRICS partner.

Politicians, diplomats, business representatives and members of the expert community confirmed their readiness to coordinate positions on international platforms, including BRICS, the G20 and the African Union. In their view, closer cooperation will help strengthen the role of the Global South countries in the system of global governance.

India's Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Anil Kumar Rai, noted that Africa’s long-term development strategy Agenda 2063 and India’s Vision 2047 programme complement each other and provide a foundation for innovative growth and improved living standards.

"Together, these are not just national roadmaps – they are complementary pathways for shared development," the diplomat emphasised.

Participants of the conference paid particular attention to the development of digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, trade and transport. They noted that the next stage of the partnership should focus on implementing joint initiatives capable of accelerating economic growth and enhancing countries’ resilience to contemporary challenges.
