Ethiopia to host forum on urban development

Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa will host the African Forum on Sustainable Urban Development in September 2024.

The theme of the forum will focus on sustainable urban development planning to transform Africa by 2063, a senior government official said. This is reported by ENA.

Ethiopia's Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh disseminated the information through social media.

He also noted that the National Coordinating Committee of the African Cities Forum held an awareness raising event on Tuesday.

Temesgen stressed that Ethiopia, as a historical country and a founding member of the UN and the Organisation of African Unity, is ready to assume African responsibility by organising the said forum for African countries where more than 1,500 participants are expected to attend.
