Great Caetano Veloso is writing a new album under quarantine in Brazil
Back in February of this year, Caetano Veloso, a living legend of Brazilian music, announced via social networks that he was not planning anything special, but, according to him, he caught an "uncontrolled wave" of creativity.
And now the artist's Manager, Paula Lavigne, also via social networks, has reported that the creative wave of the musician provoked by the quarantine due to the spread of the coronavirus is increasing, the correspondent of tvrbrics.com G1 portal quotes.
"Yes, Caetano is at home, taking the opportunity to write new songs for the next album," the Manager has said. The producer has also expressed concern about the fate of artists whose careers have not yet developed as successfully as those of the multiple Grammy award winner from Bahia.
The entire cultural sector of the country has been paralyzed by the pandemic. Caetano Veloso has postponed his national tour with his new disc recorded with Ivan Sacerdote, a clarinettist. The performances were rescheduled at the very moment when the show received its name "Caetano Autoral" and was to be presented in Rio de Janeiro immediately after the premiere in Salvador, the capital of Veloso's home state of Bahia.
The tour will resume at the end of the quarantine period. And everything suggests that the favorite of the Brazilian (and not only) public has already accumulated enough material to record his own album – the first in eight years after Abraçaço released by the 70th anniversary in 2012. Caetano Veloso has clarified that his sons, Moreno, Tom and Zeka, will take part in the work on the disc.
