Jakarta unveils a comprehensive blueprint to drive innovation, enhance competitiveness, and create higher-quality jobs

The Indonesian government has launched its National Productivity Master Plan (MPPN) 2025–2029, a five-year strategy designed to accelerate innovation, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and improve living standards through sustained productivity growth.

Announced at a ministerial ceremony this week in Jakarta, the plan marks a coordinated national effort to shift the economy from input-based expansion to one driven by efficiency and technological advancement, reports BERNAMA, a partner of TV BRICS.

The launch brought together key government figures, aiming to unify commitment to productivity as the cornerstone for achieving Indonesia Emas 2045, the country’s centennial vision of becoming a high-income and globally competitive economy.

The MPPN outlines an integrated agenda that spans multiple sectors: from advancing technology adoption and workforce upskilling to promoting digital and green transformation. It also aims to strengthen value chains, support export-oriented industries, and improve the regulatory and logistical environment.
