Russian and Chinese companies concluded more than 50 deals in Shenyang

From 28 to 30 January, the Chinese city of Shenyang hosted a conference on Sino-Russian trade and economic cooperation in 2024.

On 29 January, two sub-forums dedicated to engineering and trade were held, as well as a number of meetings between representatives of leading enterprises of the two countries. The conference attracted more than 100 entrepreneurs from Eurasian Economic Union countries, representatives of Chinese enterprises, industry experts and academics. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

"I was very pleased to take part in the conference on Sino-Russian trade and economic co-operation, at the event I met very interesting Chinese entrepreneurs who approached me with clear business requests and proposals. I even managed to agree on roadmaps with two companies. At the conference, I presented our work on the BRICS direction in 2024. The Chinese side showed its interest in our initiatives, including the BRICS Business Incubator and the second International Award "TOP 100 BRICS Entrepreneurs", admitted Tatiana Seliverstova, the Director of the BRICS Business Incubator.

As a result, Chinese companies and their Russian business partners concluded 55 deals totalling 13.6 billion yuan (171 billion rubles).

In the afternoon, the opening ceremony of the events and the signing of agreements took place. Evgenia Tolstoguzova, TV BRICS International Project Manager, attended the conference as an invited guest.

The speakers were Igor Kuimov, the member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Jing Ruyue, Executive Secretary of Xinhua News Agency, Vitaly Mankevich, the Chairman of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and others.

The ceremony included the signing of the agreement to launch direct flights between Shenyang and Moscow.
