UAE launches initiative to improve maritime mapping
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre and the UAE's Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure have announced the start of the Satgate project in bilateral cooperation. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
The project's objectives are to improve weather forecasting, ship placement, and sea state monitoring by utilising satellite and artificial intelligence technologies.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre is a government body based in Dubai that works on the UAE space programmeme, which consists of several space satellite initiatives such as the UAE astronaut programmeme, the Emirates Mars Mission, and the Emirates Lunar Mission.
