BRICS Clean rivers
Water is the source of life, the key to the planet's biodiversity and a thriving economy. Energy, metallurgy, furniture, clothing or cosmetics - no industry runs dry. That said, the accessibility of the resource is deceptive. The seas and oceans cover about two-thirds of the surface of the globe, but are barely usable for food, agriculture or industry. A special treatment is required - an expensive and complex one. Both reservoirs and groundwater must be protected from pollution and overloading. Nature has no borders - the BRICS countries are developing such projects at the governmental level and also support private initiatives in this area.
