Moscow–Beijing: Russian tourists embark on first visa-free flight

For travelling to China – by plane, by car or by water – only a foreign passport is required. Russians can now stay in the Middle Kingdom for up to 30 days without a visa. The new arrangement also applies to business people, as well as those visiting relatives or friends.

What attracts travellers to China? By how much, according to experts’ forecasts, will the tourist flow to the Middle Kingdom increase? How will the visa-free regime affect economic cooperation between the two countries?
