Chinese traditions: journey through history of tea and art of calligraphy

International Tea Day has been celebrated worldwide since 2019, yet the history of the drink stretches back almost five millennia. At the Moscow State University Botanical Garden, experts spoke about the intricacies of tea production. Meanwhile, the Chinese Cultural Centre opened an exhibition of calligraphic works. Residents of the Russian capital were able to try their hand at writing the character for “tea”.
