Abu Dhabi announces launch of strategy aimed at transforming the emirate into AI-enabled government

The strategy includes building a robust digital infrastructure to achieve 100 per cent cloud adoption in government operations and full automation of all processes

The Government of Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of the "Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027", aimed at transforming the emirate into an AI-enabled government. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The strategy, implemented by the Abu Dhabi Government Assistance Department in collaboration with government agencies, aims to make the emirate a global leader in AI governance.

One of the key elements of the strategy will be the development of a unified platform for enterprise resource planning (ERP) to help streamline processes and increase efficiency.

As part of the programme, the Abu Dhabi government is investing in training citizens to use AI. More than 200 innovative AI-based solutions will be implemented in government services, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a global AI centre.

The strategy also includes the development of strict digital regulations to ensure high standards of cyber security.

The strategy builds on more than a decade of digital transformation, moving from e-government to smart government and then to AI-powered services for citizens and businesses.

Implementation of the strategy is expected to contribute more than US$6.5 billion to Abu Dhabi's GDP by 2027 and create more than 5,000 jobs to support emirisation efforts.
