Beijing to host "Made in Russia" festival and fair to facilitate export contracts
The event will showcase over 500 premium Russian products
From 28 to 30 August, Beijing will welcome the “Made in Russia” festival and fair, celebrating the Chinese Valentine’s Day (Qixi, 29 August). The festival, organised by the Russian Export Centre (REC), a partner of TV BRICS, with the backing of both the Russian and Chinese governments, will bring together more than 40 companies from 26 Russian regions.
Visitors will be able to explore and purchase over 500 product lines, from organic foods and cosmetics to souvenirs and handicrafts. The programme will include tastings, cultural performances, and opportunities to meet a special guest of the festival.
Director General of the Russian Export Centre (REC) Veronika Nikishina noted that Russian companies have serious export potential in China.
"Quality, environmental friendliness and naturalness are appreciated here – everything that distinguishes Russian brands. The Beijing fair continues a series of successful "Made in Russia" festivals that have been held in Dalian, Chengdu, Harbin, and Shenyang over the past year and a half and demonstrated the keen interest of Chinese partners and consumers in "Made in Russia", she said.
REC will also host targeted B2B negotiations on site, connecting Russian producers with leading Chinese importers and distributors to facilitate export contracts.
In addition, popular Chinese bloggers will stream live from the event, enabling millions of viewers nationwide to discover Russian brands.
Since 2017, the “Made in Russia” festival and fair series has expanded across China, promoting high-quality, eco-friendly Russian goods abroad and strengthening bilateral trade relations.
Earlier, in February, TV BRICS and the Russian Export Centre signed a cooperation agreement to provide information support for Russian exporters in the BRICS+ media. The partnership is aimed at strengthening Russia's international prestige and developing cooperation with the BRICS+ countries.
