Brazilian President to visit Egypt and Ethiopia in February

Lula da Silva intends to meet with representatives of the African Union

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will resume his international activities next month. The head of state is due to visit Egypt and Ethiopia in February.

The first trip to Egypt will take place on the 15th and 16th of February. Lula will meet with the country's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

This will be followed by a visit to Ethiopia, scheduled for the 17th and 18th of February. The President will visit the capital, Addis Ababa, where he will meet with other heads of the state and representatives of the African Union.

In 2023, the organisation became a member of the G20. In 2024, Brazil will preside over this international group, which brings together the richest economies of the planet. In November, Rio de Janeiro will host the summit of the heads of state of the G20. This is reported by TV CULTURA, a partner of TV BRICS.
