BRICS is capable of solving the complex issues of the modern world
The BRICS bloc can offer serious geopolitical and economic solutions to the world agenda through its own established mechanisms, as reported by the official website of the Government of the Republic of South Africa.
South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said the bloc was capable of providing the leadership required to maintain multilateralism and implement meaningful reforms. The states of five countries propose to work together to guarantee a sustainable global economic recovery, including by unlocking the potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
According to Naledi Pandor, the BRICS format is of interest to many of the world's states, as evidenced by their desire to join the bloc. This is due to the fact that the policy of five countries is invariably based on its own values, which are based on multipolarity, strengthening economic growth and global stability.
The South African foreign minister said that during its presidency of the BRICS, the country would make every effort to make the bloc's work as effective as possible.
"The Year of the Rabbit is auspicious for our Chairship as it heralds fresh starts, renewed hope and joyful reunions. Renewed hope is something that BRICS can offer to the world, to the international community, particularly the global South," said Naledi Pandor in her speech.
"As BRICS, we will also build on our shared commitment to improving the lives and livelihoods of our people, of advancing the interests and developmental goals of the global South, and our founding vision of a more just, equitable and fair global political, economic, and financial landscape with increased representation and voice"Naledi Pandor South African Foreign Minister
The Russian delegation was led by Pavel Knyazev, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Russia's Sou-Sherpa to the BRICS.
