Science and Technology Daily and TV BRICS will work together to promote scientific, technological and innovative activities in the BRICS countries. During the official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China, a cooperation agreement was signed by the CEO of TV BRICS, Janna Tolstikova, and the CEO of the major scientific newspaper Science and Technology Daily, Wu Jing.

The representative of Science and Technology Daily noted that the signing of the memorandum on information partnership between the outlet and the TV BRICS International Media Network will enable the parties to more broadly cover the results of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovation, jointly respond to the challenges of digital and intelligent transformation, strengthen the communication potential and influence of the media, and contribute to the creation of a favourable information environment for the joint development of Russia and China. He also recalled that the need to develop cooperation between the two countries in the media sphere was emphasised in 2025 in the joint statement of the heads of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China on the further deepening of comprehensive strategic interaction relations in the new era.

Science and Technology Daily is one of China’s leading specialised publications dedicated to science and technology. The newspaper was founded on 1 January 1986 and operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. Its headquarters are located in Beijing. It operates in Chinese and English. Science and Technology Daily specialises in providing analytical information on scientific discoveries, fundamental and applied research, digital technologies, industrial transformation, space, energy and education. The publication promotes science, publishes interviews with leading scientists and experts, and prepares special reports on the implementation of scientific achievements in the economy and public life. In 2018, Science and Technology Daily initiated the establishment of the International Union of Science and Technology Communication (IUSTC), bringing together specialised media outlets from different countries.

CEO of TV BRICS Janna Tolstikova stressed that the media network provides equal opportunities for all countries to promote their national achievements in science, innovation, education and measures aimed at strengthening technological sovereignty within the global information space. Such informational and intellectual exchange creates the foundation for new breakthrough solutions aimed at improving people’s quality of life and their professional fulfilment. In her opinion, a partnership with Science and Technology Daily, a major specialised media outlet of the People’s Republic of China, will make it possible to enrich the consolidated BRICS agenda with exclusive materials featuring deep expertise and analytical assessments by Chinese specialists, representatives of one of the world’s leaders in technological development.

More than a dozen media outlets in the People’s Republic of China act as partners of the TV BRICS International Media Network, including Xinhua News Agency, China Media Group (CMG), People’s Daily, China Daily Group, Dongbeiwang, Northeast Asia Today, and the analytical news portal Guancha.cn. Over the course of cooperation, several major media projects have been implemented. Thus, CGTN and TV BRICS prepared the special programme "Point of View" for the 15th BRICS Summit in South Africa and an expert media project for the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in the People’s Republic of China. In 2024 and 2025, joint episodes of the "BIZtalk" show dedicated to financial cooperation among BRICS countries and the outcomes of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg were released. At the invitation of China Daily and the Press Centre of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, the media network produced the film "Charming Beijing!".

TV BRICS is also developing cooperation with Chinese universities. Its partners in this area include Fudan University, Tianjin University of Technology and Education, and Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute.
